For the category this car sits in 0 to 60 times are mostly irrelevant. Plus there will be a WRX version of the same car that will meet needs of drivers that want speed. So for the intended audience, yes, it’s practically perfect.

Ford Focus and Mazda 3 are cross-shopped against this car. I test drove both of them and they didn’t seem that slow.. according to specs online they are both sub-10 seconds and they don’t have CVT transmissions either
